Using Nowphoria

Nowphoria is a meditation app. It helps you time your practice, keep a record of it, share notes with people you choose, and see how your practice relates to your body. By using Nowphoria you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Your account

You need an account to use Nowphoria, created through Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for what happens on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Nowphoria. Don't use someone else's account or pretend to be someone else.

Nowphoria is not medical care

Nowphoria is a wellbeing app, not a medical device and not a medical service. It doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. The readings and measures it shows — including heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, and our own measures such as adaptation energy and bounce-back time — are for your own interest and reflection. They are not a clinical assessment and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other health professional. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you saw in Nowphoria. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Where health readings come from

Health readings shown in Nowphoria are measured by your own devices, such as an Apple Watch or an Oura ring, and read with your permission. We don't control how accurate those devices are, and different devices measure differently. We show you what your device reported, along with which device reported it and how often it measured.

Your content

Field notes, photos and anything else you add stay yours. By posting something publicly in the app you allow us to show it to other Nowphoria users, and you allow those users to see it. You can edit or delete what you post at any time. Don't post anything that's unlawful, abusive, hateful, or that you don't have the right to share.

Other people

Nowphoria lets you tag people who sat with you and send notes and messages. Treat other people with respect. We may remove content or suspend accounts that harass others or break these terms.

Beta software

Parts of Nowphoria are still in testing. Features may change, break, or disappear, and data recorded in a test version may be lost. We'll do our best to avoid that and to tell you when something significant changes.

What we don't promise

Nowphoria is provided as it is. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that its measures will be accurate for you. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the app.

Ending things

You can stop using Nowphoria and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll let you know in the app or by updating the date above. Continuing to use Nowphoria after a change means you accept the new terms.
