The Nowphoria Approach

Life happens in waves. The dance between stillness and activity is how we evolve. As our nervous system moves between these two states, we build adaptability, coherence, and the capacity to meet life as it unfolds. Nowphoria is a living framework for cultivating an inner baseline of being and nervous system adaptability through Vedic Meditation and supporting somatic practices.

  • 1: Begin with Being

    Learn vedic meditation in three simple sessions to establish an inner baseline of stillness and nervous system stability.


  • 2 : Stabilize Being in Activity

    Train the body to meet life’s waves through The Swell Sequence— our guided mixed modality experiences including breath work, somatic movement, stillness and rest— to stabilize a capacity to be with what arises and build adaptability & creativity in motion.

  • 3 : Grow in Community

    Deepen coherence and consistency through shared practice, group meditations, community events, retreats, and ongoing connection— online & in person.


Establishing Being

The foundational practice within Nowphoria is Vedic Meditation. It is an accessible and simple technique that offers a systematic, experiential approach to accessing a deeply restful state beyond thought—often referred to as the field of being.

Through direct experience of transcending thought, the nervous system settles into a stable, unchanging baseline beneath mental activity. Stress patterns unwind, coherence increases, and the physiology attunes to the intelligence of nature. Over time, this establishes a stable internal reference point. We remain rooted in stillness while participating in activity. Being becomes the steady current beneath the waves of daily life—the condition that allows creativity, adaptability, inner knowing, and presence to arise effortlessly. This inner stability becomes a landing place from which we can meet the ever-changing field of activity—emotions, relationships, opportunities, and the unknown.

Vedic Meditation is a simple 20 minute twice daily practice. It is a mantra based practice taught in a simple three session course through Nowphoria’s founder Victoria Larkins. During this course, you will learn how to confidently and easily meditate on your own for the rest of your life. By the end of the course you will have an easy way to reset your nervous system in your toolbox that doesn’t rely on an app, a teacher, or anything outside of yourself.

On completion of the course, you gain access to free weekly group meditations, an online community portal, and a worldwide community of meditators.

  • Session 1 : Practice

    Receive your mantra, experience the basics of the technique & explore how the yogic philosophy and science behind transcendence.

  • Session 2 : The Science

    Meditate in community, explore the mind body connection, dive into the neuroscience of stress and rest, peer into our practice through the lens of somatic psychology & gain insight on how we reset our nervous system.

  • Session 3: Integration

    Practice in community and understand the roadmap for ongoing practice. We explore how adaptability expands through the oscillation of rest + activity, states of consciousness, brainwaves, the flow state, creativity, intuition, and relationships.

  • Ongoing : Community

    After you learn Vedic Meditation, you’ll gain access to weekly group meditations, the ability to retake the course again monthly, and can join our whatsapp community portal with daily support for your practice and gatherings. Both the course and ongoing support are offered online or in Santa Monica, California.

Being in Activity

Life is lived in motion. To support presence within activity, Nowphoria offers The Swell Sequence—a nervous-system–informed work-in, not a workout. The sequence moves through gentle movement, somatic sequencing, breath work, and non-sleep deep rest, training the body to stay regulated as energy moves.

Stillness and activity are understood as part of a natural oscillation. Rather than forcing release or expression, the sequence creates the conditions for flow—where movement becomes supportive instead of depleting, and activation becomes energizing rather than overwhelming. Through repeated experience, the nervous system learns how to remain grounded while life unfolds.

The Principles of Nowphoria

  • Flow

    Action doesn’t need to be forced to be effective. When we are established in being, movement and decision-making become more fluid and less effortful. Rather than acting from strain or control, we learn to participate in experience as it unfolds. This orientation supports a frictionless way of moving through life—where energy is generated through alignment, not willpower.


  • Transcendence

    Lasting change doesn’t happen at the level of thinking. Our offerings are all based in transcendence—moving beyond habitual mental patterns and fixed perceptions. In stillness practices, this means releasing identification with thought. In movement and breath, it means moving beyond what constricts or holds us back. Each offering is designed as a state-shifting experience, supporting access to the present moment as a lived reality.

  • Direct Experience

    Experience—not belief—is what shifts perception. Nowphoria is grounded in the understanding that transformation occurs through repeated, embodied experience. When the nervous system directly experiences safety, coherence, and presence, intrinsic motivation naturally follows. Practice becomes self-sustaining because the why is felt, not imposed.


  • Regulation

    The body is always moving toward homeostasis. By prioritizing deep rest, we offer our nervous system the sense of safety it requires to complete each cycle of healing. Across meditation, sequencing, and guided non-sleep deep rest (NSDR) practices, regulation is prioritized as the foundation for clarity, resilience, and sustainable energy.

  • Community Coherence

    We evolve quite efficiently as we co-regulate. Practicing in community amplifies coherence. Shared experiences—group meditations, live classes, retreats, and ongoing connection—support consistency, inspiration, and learning through resonance. Our intention at Nowphoria is to foster a space for collective exploration of presence, where we learn by walking alongside one another.

Nowphoria brings these elements together through our signature Vedic Meditation course to establish a baseline of being along with guided practices in breathing, deep rest, rounding, and somatic sequencing.
